AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Content
Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Content
This release also brings the game's newest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature abilities: Naoe debuts a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
