It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the record chasers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batters to hold a record if never given the chance.

Ultimately, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have followed from 10 attempts across formats.

That loss "pushed us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

"A chance to go out there and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was dismissed the team required another 66 at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
